Vasque is an outdoor footwear brand that’s been getting people on the trail since the 60’s. They’re an industry stalwart that’s best known for durable, old school leather hiking boots and shoes. To keep pace with an increasingly younger hiking demographic, they’ve recently made a push to go from dad boots to something more modern. The brand’s newest boot, the Breeze Lite GTX, launched for Fall/Winter 2019 and was awarded the coveted Gear of the Year by Outside Magazine.

IDEA

The Breeze Lite GTX is a performance-driven boot that is inspired by the speed of trail running shoes. To build excitement for its new flagship hiker, Vasque needed product photography that broke away from its conventional approach of years past. We created a so-light-it-floats visual concept and made the magic happen in our studio. The photos told the award-winning boot’s story, no context needed, and put the rest of the industry on notice that Vasque isn’t just for your dad anymore.
