Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. It’s also arguably the most in-your-face advertising weekend of the year. To quell seasonal stress rather than add to it, Verizon created #Thanksgetting, a six-day promotion with free data, GoGo inflight wifi, and Amazon entertainment downloads for its 140 million US subscribers.

By not screaming about a sale.

IDEA

Amid the clutter of brands clamoring for Black Friday attention, Verizon needed to spread the word that it was looking out for its customers. We created a Vine for a promoted Twitter moment that captured the essence of the promotion in less than six seconds, starring an avian traveler overcoming holiday-induced anxiety. The video was the most widely shared of the ten videos Verizon shared in their Twitter moment. Who says turkeys can’t fly well?
